Festival // Song and Surf 2018
February is just a few short weeks away, which means it’s almost time for hundreds of festivalgoers to descend upon the quaint town of Port Renfrew, located on Vancouver Island, for the annual Song and Surf Music Festival! Making use of Big Fish Lodge, a small church and the Port Renfrew Community Center, all within a 5 minute walk, there’s a certain buzz in the air as you navigate between the three venues in a tiny picturesque beach town for the duration of the weekend. With a mix of live bands and DJ’s/electronic music, there’s truly something for everyone. It’s relaxing during the day, yet full of that wild, frenetic, festival energy at night. With ample beaches just a short drive away (perfect for a quick morning getaway, before taking in the music all afternoon/night!), Song and Surf is truly one of the most magical music festivals and weekends of the year.
Tickets are sold out for the 2019 edition, but here’s a quick look back on some of the highlights of the 2018 event. Artists included Band of Rascals, Stinging Belle, Vince Vaccaro, Quoia, Ocie Elliott, and more.
